Is anyone still using a CD Player

I have a bunch of CDs and the Krell 505 player.  I find myself defaulting to my Aurender Streamer and never listening to CDs.   I’m considering getting a CD Ripper and loading them via HSD or SSD card and loading into the Aurender.  Thoughts?  Am I in the dark ages even keeping the CD Player?

I have vinyl and CD's and am a CD/SACD user.  No streaming since it is inferior in sound quality.

I have a TEAC VRDS 701T Transport going into an SW1X DAC II. The sound I am getting is phenomenal. You have to pay attention to isolation, proper grounding and noise abatement to get the most from CDs. You can't tweak a file, but you can tweak a CD. I do 5 different treatments to CDs (the ones I really want to listen to) and the difference from before and after is staggering.

Don't stream; don't intend to. Ripped my entire library of CD's years ago, but don't listen to the rips. Mostly vinyl these days, plus CDs when I feel like it. Trying to work my way through my existing library before I die. Life is short.

I ripped all of my CD's to FLAC and sold them.  Streaming, either from my music server or Qobuz/Tidal, through Roon is for me, the only way to go.  There just doesn't seem to be any reason to play CD's anymore.  It's not like the alleged (but I dispute) "vinyl magic" . . . CD's seem to be on the same tier as streaming, so why bother?

YES: via Oppo BDP, tube pre, tube power amp, affordable cables and the magic of Thiel 1.5 speakers.  Background music while doing chores:  Apple iPad, & Dragon Fly DAC.
