Whats the right way to change horses

Never had the bucks to do real audiophile, but put together a nice Hegel H160 , Rel T9i and SF Concerto system that really worked for me for a few years (mostly single artist listening). Now at 70, I'm parting that out on Facebook MP and looking to move to some simple powered speakers. But thinking, wouldn't it be nice if you could just trade-in you're past gear for a new model, like cars.

I see the same thing with guitars, moving from steel sting acoustic Gibson guitars to nylon string Classical guitars, just no bridge there,,, not complaining, but seems like there should be a business that does that for you, so you don't have to.

I have had good experiences with TMR.  I believe you can get more for your gear if you sell it yourself but you save the hassle of doing so.  Plus, they pay all shipping costs.

I've had good success with TMR. They state they offer 65% of typical used price and I have found this to be true. Decision sometimes depends on how easy it is to sell and ship a particular item.  They will offer a better deal if you sell-buy...

You will reap the greatest reward by putting in the effort to sell yourself one piece at a time. Unfortunately that’s a PITA and be careful so you’re not scammed by a buyer. My brother sold off a ton of expensive guitar gear years ago and the low life’s came out of the bushes. @whipsaw , LOL regarding your T O P quote. I bought my first car , custom party van in 1975 from a member of T O P. I lived in Fresno and the guy was on tour so I paid his sister. The Conti’s are from this area and over the years about 50 people have been in their lineup. So I’m off to Bump City for the holiday. Cheers , Mike B.
