Do you have any gear that was outright given to you?
I was fortunate enough to have been gifted a McIntosh PS112 subwoofer. They are quite old now, but it continues to perform. It needed some repairs when it was given to me- a total of not quite $300 put it back into good working order.

If we're going to include inheritance then my list improves quite a bit: B&W Matrix 800s (with original shipping crates) Jadis Defy7 Jadis JP80 MC Mark Levinson ML-335 VPI TNT-4 w/ SMEV Sota Saphire Accuphase DP-90 DC-91 Nakamichi 700 & 1000 Power conditioning and more cables than you can shake a stick at 2700 LPs... So yeah. I think I'm set! Happy listening.

Of course Inheritances are Gifts. As I said, I know I have been a Lucky Dog. I always say, when choosing something, part of it is liking it every time you see it, even if it's off. When it's a gift/inheritance/found/restored/absolute steal, I recall that every time, and I think of the people involved. |
I helped my brother in law pick out his first system in 2013: Moon 700i, Moon 380 dac, Moon 260 transport, SF Cremona M and Cremona sub, plus some upper level Kimber interconnects and a Chang CLS 609 power conditioner... when he moved to Florida 2 years ago he gave it all to me. That's a great brother in law! |
