Question for the older folks- did you ditch vinyl when cd arrived?

I took me about 10 years to finally get a cd player. When folks were ditching their LPs I would got to yard sales and pick up great titles for $.25 or $.50 each obtaining a few thousand great titles that way. Also went shopping at record store close out sales and Goodwill and other second hand stores. I miss those days not many bargains found in vinyl now.

No. I bought a top of the line CD player... quiet backgrounds and great bass but terrible midrange and treble, Started collecting CDs. but mostly for travel. 

I didn’t have a vinyl collection to speak of. I was listening to tapes and radio. I built my vinyl collection in the last 20 years. 

@ghdprentice you can use qobuz app on your phone and ipad while traveling. 

Not right away. But after about 10 years or so. Never looked back.
