If a tree falls in the forest…

I’m just listening to an incredible sounding new performance of Strauss’ Alpine Symphony with Edward Gardner and the London Philharmonic, which is shaking the room. The clarity, transparency and impact is thrilling.  Yet the only one who hears it besides me is my wife, who thinks I’m looney.  I just wish someone else could hear what I’m hearing.
 But alas, it’s just me.

Congratulations!

While it is fun to share your love of a recording or the change in your equipment, sometimes you have to remind yourself that you are the most important person in this hobby. So if the Alpine Symphony made you have an epiphany, that’s what it’s all about!

LOL , I was on a lake all alone up in a deep cove and a huge dead pine tree exploded and crashed down the side of the hill above me. The other vegetation stopped it from sliding down into the water. It was FLIPPING LOUD ! So that’s my tree statement I’ve always wanted to make. 😆 Ah Richard you’re always appreciated and even though we are on opposite sides of the country and I listen to rock, I appreciate you and feel a connection. I remember the first conversation we had about tubes and I felt compelled to mail you a few pairs to try. Life is good , enjoy the music. God’s sitting right next to us and we’re never alone. That pine tree shattered into a hundred pieces as it crashed down the hill and God was definitely involved. Cheers , Mike B.

No need to be wistful, our hobby is solitary by design. There is only one sweet spot!
