Anyone Else Running Two Systems?

Sorry if this topic has been covered, I did a search and only found a little bit.

I have two systems in my house.  In the main one I have a Pink Faun Scion as the source, McIntosh MCD 12000 DAC/CD, McIntosh MA 12000 integrated Amp and KEF Reference 5 Meta Speakers.  Tai Hang power enhancer.  Plus it is a treated room.  Cabling is expensive too.  It sounds fantastic.

My second one is a bedroom system, way simpler and cheaper. Source is a  Blue sound Node going into a Vincent SV 228 integrated amp.  The speakers are Wharfedale Lintons.   This system is not as good as my main one. It doesn’t have the expansive stage or weight/3Dness and detail of the main system, but even so it is a whole lot of fun, very very enjoyable in its own way.  If this system was all I had, I could seriously be content and happy with it.   By the way, I have had a lot of integrated amps go in out my systems over the years.  I must say from my listening experience, the Vincent SV 228 is underrated and a pretty good value.

Anyone else have two systems with one being "better" but still taking some listening time to enjoy a second less expensive system?

For several years I used to compare 3 amps in my main system by using Tightening Banana Jacks.

A pair of jumpers from my speakers to a wall hook easy to reach each side without bending.

3 sets of color coded speaker wires with these

1. McIntosh SS MA2250 (tested accurate at 305 wpc)

2. Fisher 500 C Tube Receiver (30 wpc)

3. Fisher Mono Blocks 80AZ, 1958 (30 wpc)

Everyone chose the Tube Receiver over the SS, and the Tube Mono Blocks over the Tube Receiver.

And the same music CD; LP; Reel to Reel (7-1/2 IPS pre-recorded)

Everyone chose LP over CD, and R2R over LP.

I’m gonna sell the Fisher 500C Tube Receiver, and I just found this gizmo which will switch two amps and/or switch 2 pairs of speakers. $120. I ordered one, comes Monday. I don't need to compare, I just want to demo the Fisher in my system for a 'local pickup' buyer.

Might be crap, might be transparent, I’ll get some friends to listen with me.

I am fortunate to have two systems and a headphone rig.

My main system is a pair of Forte IV and several tube amps that I rotate.  Turntable , Streamer , CD Transport, DAC , I rotate the three tuners I own.

Second system was the best thing I have ever done in this hobby.  I was finding that I was falling asleep sometimes late nights with an all tube system    That was kind of scary to me so I picked up a Cyrus XR integrated amp that was on close out.

That plus a pair of Studio Electric M4 make up a great sounding , really compact system.   I repurposed my Vault 2i and sub from my main system to round things out.   I listen to this system 75% of the time.

I also have a Quicksilver Headphone amp and a few different sets of phones.

I rarely sell stuff. I have three very good systems plus  another for video that also give excellent sound:

Main:VPI TNT V, SME V, Koetsu Urushi, Vendetta SCP2-D, Conrad Johnson Premier 14, Conrad Johnson Premier 11a, Wilson Maxx 2, Inouye power conditioner, Moon 280D DAC

#2 Sota Cosmos, SME V, Lyra Clavis, Bryston BP17, Conrad Johnson Premier 15 phono, Classe DR3 VHC, Martin Logan CLS, Hegel HD12 DAC

#3 Roksan Radius 5/Nima/Goldring Eroica LX Classe DR-7, Classe DR3 VHC bridged monos + PSE V monos (bass), Classe DAC1 DAC, Vandersteen 4A,

#4 (AV) Marantz AV 7702 Mk2, Rowland 5, Mission Cyrus 782, Vandersteen VSM-1 (x4), Hsu VTF-15H Mk 2 (x2)

Of course multiple systems! Main system in a nice size room with Rogue Sphinx amp, Magnepan .7s, REL sub, PS Audio Directstream DAC, plus other comparable stuff. Picked the speakers and then everything else to fit. But I always wanted to hear what low-watt Class A is all about, so built a pair of 94 db speakers for the family room and drive them with whatever Pass DIY amp I most recently finished or, currently, an Elekit 8200R tube amp. These flea-watt Class A amps really do make some sweet music, and with DIY you really get into what makes a difference in how gear sounds.
