If a tree falls in the forest…

I’m just listening to an incredible sounding new performance of Strauss’ Alpine Symphony with Edward Gardner and the London Philharmonic, which is shaking the room. The clarity, transparency and impact is thrilling.  Yet the only one who hears it besides me is my wife, who thinks I’m looney.  I just wish someone else could hear what I’m hearing.
 But alas, it’s just me.

No, The consumers is Jurowski.

Look for Edward Gardner.  It’s a new recording. Tidal may not have it yet. Qobuz does.

I remember getting  this question in my sophomore year college philosophy class. I immediately thought 🤔 that if a tree falls in the forest but no one is around to hear it of course it makes a sound. There’s just no one around to hear that sound. 😁
