Wilsons new flagship

Maybe I am getting old but Wilsons new flagship $780k  and they feel it is justified,

lit gets better if you want custom paint $110,000 they said it takes 2 days to paint both speakers, Jays audio lab commented and I think it was way too much and

$110k for $300 in paint is nuts that is truly taking advantage of everyone with wealth, imo only an idiot would pay that. I guess nothing should surprise me any more !!

Can you very quickly buy that 1 million dollar dartzeel cartridge...

Some 'intense R&D' went into it.....Buy it,  make haste, chop chop

You are paying not only exclusively , you are also paying for intense R&D.

Like Kerrybh said , I can appreciate these products for their all out assault on state of the art which is always a moving target.  That technology definitely trickles down in this hobby.   Especially with speakers.   That's why products like the Wilson are important.  They push the envelope on what is state of the art.

What are they doing that is so ground breaking? Same ole drivers they have been using. Paper scanspeak woofers, soft dome tweeter all wrapped up in a 800lb cabinet. That what I see at least. Maybe there’s something groundbreaking here but I haven’t looked into it. Bunch of fancy names for all their cabinet material. Xyz etc.

that said im sure they sound great. They sure better!

@audioman58  The only people complaining about what Wilson Audio charges for any kind of paint job, regardless of cost, on any of their high-end speakers, are those envious haters who can’t afford to pay the prices themselves Lol!!!  Come one people.  Does anyone honestly believe that the ultra wealthy audiophile who these types of hyper high-end cost-no-object speakers are designed for and marketed to could give a hoot about shelling out a mere 100K extra for a custom paint job on a 3/4 of a million dollar pair of speakers Lol!!!!?  Happy listening.
