Record cleaning fluid for degritter machine

So using the advice of this and other forums, I purchased the surfactant Tergitol 15-S-9 and a small bottle of 91% isopropyl alcohol to replace the record cleaning additive that degritter sells to add to the distilled water after degassing.  Since only a few drops of the degritter solution are required, I figure that adding a couple of drops of the surfactant and of the alcohol sounds about right.  What do you think?

Yes, the Tergitol and 91% isopropyl plus distilled water - readily available at most supermarkets - will make a fine combination for record cleaning!

Yes but how much of each?   I was thinking a couple or three drops of each should be added to the tank of distilled water after degassing.

Ditch the alcohol.  Mix Tergitol with distilled water.  I use 0.5% Tergitol, that is 0.5 ml/L (Tergitol/Water) then rinse with pure distilled water.  If you are cleaning mostly new or near new records, you could reduce the concentration down to one drop of Tergital to one liter of distilled water and no rinse.  I strongly recommend that you read Neil Antinn's book on cleaning records, which you can find on line for free.
