contrast with my special upgraded Tekton Encores

You all have been my bible for some time now. My current system is the following: Amp: Coda16: Preamp LA-4:DAC Bricasti M1 SE with network card:Project Rs2T transport with LTA Linear power supply: All balanced: Tekton special made Encore Serial # 5&6, Dual SVS SB 4000 Subs Stream Audirvana through Qobuz

Strictly Rock and Roll: 85-90 Db give or take: Very large room: located in my equipment shop which is 30x60'  last third of shop area is my listening area. not partitioned. All types of equipment throughout. How,  I don't know, but, system just sounds GREAT! YOUR THERE!!!

As I'm older now,  I finally want to contrast my Tektons (through an A/B switch, currently in place with Tekton Double impacts (going to sell, my first speakers)  the new /used most likely speakers would be sitting almost side by side with Encores, (limited room, believe it or not) Looking for more refinement and pin point imaging. Looking for great contrast, if possible. I have no intentions of selling the Encores! they are that good.

I googled through their AI, here are their choices, based on above criteria: The 1st 2 are their recommendations: Revel F228 Be, 328Be (all used I'm sure) ATC SCM50 SL:    Next:  KEF reference 3 Meta (all floor standers)  Revel Ultima Salon 2,   Legacy Audio Focus SE, Focal sopra #3, JBL Synthesis s-4700     All panel speakers were not considered as speakers would be somewhat side by side. These were great suggestions. However, this was a computers suggestions. As you folks have guided me from the beginning, I'm hoping your trained and experienced HUMAN hearing and knowledge will tell me what you might choose in this scenario.  Again thanks for all your previous help. Nice gear ! I’d love to see some pictures. FWIT I have Tekton DI’s as I wanted that in your face rock n roll presentation. The JBL’s would be nice but I’m a JBL fan. Also I’ve always wanted the Legacy’s too. You have a clean source and plenty of power so you would definitely have a step up with what you’ve listed. If I were you I’d ask Terry London as he offers sound advice and has Tektons. He’s on this site as @teajay and by tagging him he might respond. FWIT I added Townshend Seismic Podiums under my DI’s and the improvement was substantial. Please share when you get the new speakers. Happy Hunting , Mike B.

I’m familiar with the first four, but my recommendation applies to all.

They are all great sounding, but choosing which one is preferable is highly personally subjective. It’s best to demo yourself to find YOUR preferred sound.

My personal preference is the Revel Be or ATC, but it’s only your preferences that matters.  It would have been great if I loved the Salon2 to save money, but it never resonated with me.

Good luck.

Be happy with what you got...

it doesn't make any sense A/B-ing your great speakers (Encores) against certain clown speakers. .don't need to prove anything.

The Tektons are horrible vs any $20k plus speaker ,their drivers which are crucial the quality are very average entry level at best , I rebuilt several Xovers

the Chinese wiring and spaghetti wiring mess in their creats a bunch of resistance

braid any wires at least a few turns ,and the Xovers use No quality capacitors ,residtors or inductors ,there are are mass of $30 tweeters

refinement and tone by companies like even the Sonus Faber G2 -5 or 8 are far more cohesive , the driver quality are paramount , that’s why YG, Magico Wilson ,Martin  and many others ,your speakers should be at least 25%-35% the cost od your system especially when you have very respectable electronics and front end ,

having owned a Audio store for over a decade ,and 50+ years in Audio synergy is very important  you don’t put average tires on a Porsche !!
