Who do you turn to when you have the envies for funk?

Growing up in my teens I was into a lot of urban funk and soul especially Earth Wind and Fire. Nowadays not so much but may change later, wife still likes it though. Also got deep into the disco at its height. Used to avoid other rock like Elton John, nowadays discovering I love his music. 

Ohio Players and Zapp band.  They played for my private school when I was in 8th grade.  Our head master had no idea what they were all about.  "Skin Tight" shocked the prepsters

WXPN has been my favorite radio station since the early 1980s. Maybe too obvious but not only is this one of the best "funk" albums of all time, I'd honestly put it in the top album albums of all time.
