@durkn I made the comparison to Pro-Ject only because of VPI's ever increasing number of turnable and tonearm models. Both companies seem to follow the 'more is more' philosophy. I personally find it confusing. Pro-ject is definitely a lot worse and their 'collaborations' seem silly to me, but I think that VPI's more streamlined set of product offerings from the Harry days was easier to grok - entry level, mid level, and flagship. But what do I know, it seems to be working for VPI...
