Streamer/dac direct into Music Reference RM-200?

Does anyone know if the input sensitivity of the RM-200 Mk I can be driven by running a DAC/Streamer with internal volume control without a preamp?  DAC/streamer is a Aurender A1000.  Thanks for any help.

@clio probably knows and the answer is likely yes, for hints look at output impedance and voltage for any of Roger excellent preamps… RIP legend and genius

Search yielded this… might be accurate might be applicable to mk 1 also

  • Input Impedance: 15k ohms (single-ended, one leg driven), 30k ohms (balanced)
  • Input Sensitivity: 1.1V for full output

Thanks @tomic601 for the input.  Do you still have RM9?  I'm anxious to get another MR amp back in my system.  Had a RM-10MkII years ago and stupidly sold it.  Roger was a treasure - spoke with him on the phone a couple times, RIP.

Sadly no - I passed it along to a great friend who PSE amplifiers gave up the ghost… with the TAD speakers I now get by with a very heavily modified MC240 tube amp. I do often wonder if in my situation / listening habits / modest needs around SPL, that an RM-10 might be the ultimate….

miss Roger too
