Needing To Order Turntable Feet. Looking For Options and Experiences

Time to get some proper feet under the DP80 project. Currently have some temporary ones there. The question is to go hard feet that are pointed, or to go with compliant feet.

The complete table weighs a tad over 50 pounds. The plinth is made from uhmw, an industrial polymer. Not an overly heavy plinth, but by listening sessions it does appear to do a great job in its role.

One option is a set of magnetic feet I got with my DP75 table that replaced the stock Denon feet. I cannot tell the manufacturer, but AI tells me from an image that they are Michell that predate the Levis feet. I could repurpose them.

I have also looked at these. One set is designed for VP19 turntable weight, which is a similar amount.

I do want an option that allows for leveling. I am curious to learn from other folks experiences.

I have JVC OEM adjustable feet, plastic, nothing special looking, and due to my springy wood floor, I had to add a 2" x 2" isolator (I wrapped then in black tape after the photo was taken

you probably know, but others may not think of it: you need clearance below your arm post for a din connector and the curve of it’s cable underneath. some right angle din connectors exist, but, how far up the tube is the connector? One of my arms, I needed a long skinny neck din fitting, the normal shoulder would not allow it to reach the connector. Pine Tree Audio made a cable for me.

maybe your plinth and DP80 spinner is too heavy for these, just to show them

adjustable 1/4"; 9 lbs each, use 3 or 4

I like surface mount, even self adhesive.

Does your plinth have threaded inserts? If so, you can find the max depth and thread spec with help from a decent hardware store.

Hi John - Original feet for the bespoke 75 plinth were fabricated by audioantiquary in Italy. After one failed, they sent me the 4 you have, as you know, I repurposed them interesting they might actually be a Mitchell product. I think you might consider an HRS Helix or Vortex product, both offer a small throw level capability. They are not springs so for even better low frequency isolation they could be paired w a spring base as I did.

my bed to you on your great musical quest
