What type of cables make the most difference

The answer is yes. What an awful, racist thing to say.

As if the cables being made there would be of lower quality than made in USA or anywhere else in the world.

The intent was just terrible. I’m sorry. 

I oversaw operations in India and Sri Lanka during my work history, and both those places have some of the kindest, most intelligent and sincere people you may ever run in to.

Seeing how cables of any variety make no objective difference in sound, it doesn't matter which you spend too much money on when replacing them.

You are wrong. But you are still on the right track. 

Take this logical example - 

A terribly built, poor measuring, compromised receiver from a no name manufacturer will not sound "better" even if you use the costliest interconnects with it.

So the cables should not make a difference, but they can... for a number of reasons. Shall I elaborate?

I’m usually pretty civil but you are seriously f’d up.

All I said was I’m pretty sure WBC are made in Sri Lanka (you stated they are made in Japan). What that has to do with being racist is beyond me.

This morning (many hours before reading this post) I ordered a set of top of the line WBC RCA interconnects for my phone stage, presumably made by the fine people in Sri Lanka.

Get yourself some professional help.

Back in the mid 90's when I was assembling my 2nd system, the interconnect cables between the preamp and power amp were what I spent most time and money on. Those cables made the most difference in the system.  I ended up with Magnan interconnects after borrowing more than a dozen "revealing" cables.  I could have gone down the same path with speaker cables, but after working with about 1/2 dozen, I quickly ditched silver plated, and ended up with a bi-wired set that went well with my Vandersteens.   As for power cables, created my own shielded power cable for my homebrew preamp.  I tried the same approach on the McCormack power amp with no noticeable difference.  One thing I never got around to was using a similar approach with power and signal lines on the Thorens 125.  I wish I would have.
