What type of cables make the most difference

some, but not all, reasons why in this particular case with your particular question…

1. different degrees of change can be achieved so without considering, level/category, brand and model of cables it’s a no go. 
2. different components react differently to cable changes - some react more to power improvements, some to signal improvements.
3. To the point @hilde45 is making above, quality of your AC power will impact the results of a power cord swap

4. your room acoustics and system and your ability to hear
 

So…without the specifics, as her character said, it’s a trick question. 
 

If you have constructed your inquiry with details specific to your system and cables you are curious about, you would get better responses. As it currently stands, this thread won’t give you or anyone else any reliable data points because the underlying information is missing. 

@douglas_schroeder you are quite correct- my question is motivated by a sincere desire to discover- and to be even more specific, to gain insights to perceptions.

You are right. Your system is highly resolving with excellent speakers and electronics.

I have always used "World's Best Cables" they are made in Japan with tight manufacturing standards. They are inexpensive and do the job without acting like antennas and don't impart a signature on the system - they allow it to speak for itself and be as transparent and clear as it can be.

@audphile1 not a trick question- I’m not interested in any cable hierarchy but just interested in people’s subjective opinion based on their own experience. 

@zavato if you’re ok with completely unreliable answers, and were just looking to chat, cool…you got the answers. Good luck making heads or tails of what’s been posted as experience. Lol
