Another vote to look for a store demo.  You get a discount and you get a full warranty! The best of both worlds.

Best price I've found so far is $12,500

That's close to 15% off. What do you think a dealer should sell you a new unit for?

Dan & Matt are great to work with from Dedicated Audio! I Purchased my Luxman from them.

As a long time Luxman user I can only say be careful with vetting your purchase if you find a second hand unit online. There have been a lot of gray market sellers over the years who convert Japanese-spec 100V units in order to sell them in other regions. The quality of the work is variable but I wouldn't trust any of them.

This probably applies more to older units but I always like to bring it up just in case.

Ended up going with an Esoteric F-02,
wasn’t able to give the Esoteric a test drive in home so. Although I’ve listened to it many times. 
if it doesn’t work out I’ll try the Luxman 509,
was only able to demo the 505z in home.
