Subwoofers: Do you turn them off when you are done for the day?

It just occurred to me last night as I was putting various amps into standby mode before going to bed that I only turn off my subwoofers when I am going to be away from home for a few days or more. (I disconnect all my components from the wall in those cases.)

All my amps are solid state and their respective manufacturers have all advised to switch them to standby if you are not listening to them, even if you plan to listen again in a few hours.  Why do I not do that with the subwoofers (all RELs: one Class D, 2 Class A/B)?  Seems like one should. (And I did last night.)

What do you all do?

I go into standby when my subs go off. Most are class d and alot of manufactures tell you to leave it on.  Yes most of mine when they see no activity shut down automatically. Michi and mcintosh amps have a shut down auto if not used. Sometimes my shut down before bet is longer when the patient goes and pets the bear.im up all night.enjoy the music.

I would like it if a well respected authority or major magazine would gather some facts, and clarify all this 'leave it on' is collectively far more harmful than following any bad advice from makers, i.e. a study of: on/warm up, break-in; standby; OFF.

You have to know, collectively, it is wrong.

I turn everything off.....i don't care what other  audio master minds,say...I  do it my way.....lol.Thanks Frankie....

REL’s provide the option for auto-standby or always on, but they specifically recommend always on for maximizing amp life.
