The Shunyata Research OMEGA-X-Ethernet Cable

You do realize that I completely disagree with your concepts and ideas. They are not taking an Amazon basic cable spray painting it gold and then charging thousands of dollars for it. There is material and man hours that also justify the cost of that cable. If you wanna make the argument, there is no sound difference is one thing. the people who spray paint their products golden are soon to be out of business.
what’s with this narcissistic attitude that if I can’t afford it then no one should be able to. This is obviously a flex purchase if it is too much for you may I suggest you go to the gym So that your muscles can flex better.

@gkelly --Science is not on your side. If you purchase and hear improvements while using this cable, it's all in your head. Affordability has nothing to do with it. The OP described how data is transmitted and how a cable cannot affect sound quality. I'm sure the cable is a fine piece of craftmanship, but does it sound better than a standard cable--Not a chance.

Most Ethernet cables don't even meet spec, fluke tested many of them several years ago and this was their finding.

I buy 10 cables from a company that has helped transform my sound. The 11th one is going to be snake oil? This just does not compute in my head. Why a company who would put all their money in research and development in all their cables would then come up with a cable that does absolutely nothing that a super cheap cable does. What would happen if I purchased that one first? Would I then go oh well the rest of the line is worthless. There is a lot of things in life that sound good on paper but, put into practice…

What I can't wrap my head around is why cable manufacturing companies do not or will not subject themselves to statistically relevant testing protocols. They come up with all of this fancy wording on how advanced their cabling products are, but they fail on giving them testing rigors. Not one company has published results concluding that their cables sound better than a competitor's product. Wonder why this is??
