Shunyata Venon V16 or Furman Elite 20pfi

Thanks again @frank009! But a 13a 16 gauge going 4 ways? Doesn’t seem like that would be beefy enough to handle all that current?

Im also looking into the ferrite cores but the ones I see on Amazon don’t seem big enough. All of my power cords are aftermarket from Shunyata and DH Labs. They are all 10gauge and larger. What size ferrite cores would fit?

It may be too late, but take a look at the furman reference series which absolutely outclasses the Elite series.  Theyre expensive, but can be found, used on ebay.  Easier version (the Ref 15 and Ref 20) are essentially the same as the new Ref 15i and Ref 20i).  

@patrickalston Thank you for taking the time to respond. I had always looked at the Reference series and would have absolutely gone that route but the cost was too rich for my blood. Only reason I jumped on the V16 was the 40% off sale which brought it into my wheelhouse. Otherwise I’d have been completely content with the Elite. However of all the comparisons between V16 and Elite, it was pretty much unanimous that V16 brought audible improvements. 

The Furman is a pretty good unit, soundwise it may be a toss up and you would have to listen. Not having surge protection might be a concern depending on where you live (e.g. Florida) and the value of your equipment. If it will keep you up at night I would send it back.

OP, I got a pretty massive improvement when I purchased my shunyata MPC-12c and I even use the analog section for my amplifiers.  I kept trying the wall outlet instead when people would swear by it but I'm getting a substantial improvement by using the mpc-12c.  Ask Shunyata but pretty sure they will say to plug your amp into the venom as well.  Definitely try this.  Do not listen to people who say "don't plug your amp in" without trying it.  Most of them aren't using Shunyata equipment which I've found is superior for amplifiers.  Also if you have another dedicated circuit that is on the same phase, consider plugging all digital components into that separate outlet.  I found this did better than the mpc-12 because the noise from the digital components aren't even on the same circuit.  YMMV I don't know if the venom is as solid of a unit as my Gemini 8 or my MPC-12C but I notice a substantial different when my amplifier is plugged into it.  Increased openness and transients are unpacked much better.  Experiment.  Don't just listen to people's opinions on these things!!  And yes a whole home surge protection is probably the way to go!
