Anyone move from Backert Rhumba Extreme to the Rhythm?

I'm a one-month owner of a Backert Rhumba Extreme 1.4 and am thrilled with the improvement in sound.  Huge soundstage, more air around, and definition of, instruments and vocals.  Punchier base and clearer highs.

Plus, it's fun how each set of 12AU7's I try out has it's own unique sound characteristics!

So, wondering if anyone has made the move up to a Rhythm, and what I might expect in the way of further improvement.  It's another 50% in cost, so.......

(Backert offers a one-year upgrade window with 100% trade-in value.)

Also wondering what tubes you may have settled on, or are especially pleased with.  I really like the RCA's and Sylvania HP's.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.

Original owner of a Rhumba Extreme 1.3 for about 4 yrs. Have rolled a bit. Always go back to Gold Lion.

Now that Brent Jesse is gone, I might be done with NOS. Will give the Gold Lions a try again in future. I see them last time in 2019 and one of them became noisy within 1 year. So off they were my list. How long have your Gold Lions lasted @scottya118

I seem to be bouncing back to my Psvane Art 12au7 more than the "vintage" tubes I have.  Not sure many are actual NOS.

Though, a couple of the vintage tubes do have a special sound that is appealing.

Bet the Psvane has a similar sound to the Gold Lions.
