Anyone move from Backert Rhumba Extreme to the Rhythm?

I'm a one-month owner of a Backert Rhumba Extreme 1.4 and am thrilled with the improvement in sound.  Huge soundstage, more air around, and definition of, instruments and vocals.  Punchier base and clearer highs.

Plus, it's fun how each set of 12AU7's I try out has it's own unique sound characteristics!

So, wondering if anyone has made the move up to a Rhythm, and what I might expect in the way of further improvement.  It's another 50% in cost, so.......

(Backert offers a one-year upgrade window with 100% trade-in value.)

Also wondering what tubes you may have settled on, or are especially pleased with.  I really like the RCA's and Sylvania HP's.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.

I am still using the original Rhumba 1.3 with the following tubes:

Siemens 1962

Mazda 1962 Ladder Plater

Raytheon 5814A Windmill Getter

I have on order another Raytheon 5814 Black Plate Triple Micas

Psvane T II

New Mullards that came with the preamp.

i prefer the NOS, but they are pricey.

Hi and thanks, Milpai.

I'm waiting for a set of JAN Sylvania 5814A from '72.

My fav set, so far, is Sylvania, made and branded for HP.
