Audiophile LAN cables

I know very well the importance of cables in a system, and I know very well the difference in the sound they make.
I have been assembly audio cables for my own use for years now, but I never expected how a LAN cable could change the sound of my liquid music so much.
Do you guys have experience in LAN cables?
Do they make a difference also in your audio setup?

To come full circle, I did decide to order the Supra CAT8, partly because it was the least expensive of the "audiophile" rated cables and truth be told no one had anything bad to say about it.  Other than it was not quite as "full" sounding as the WireWorld.  We shall see.

Thanks again all and stay safe

If you truly want improvements from router get rid of the $5 wall wart power supply

I use a LTA  Linear power supply which cleans up all noise coming in ,the a decent Ethernet hub  LHY make some very good ones ,the crap for $25 just adds more noise ,the lhy has a low noise Crystal , LPS ,and low noise regulators

their top model $2300 is excellent ,currently I have the lesser SW8 which is still decent  and get at least $200 Pangea power cords for both ,  Ethernet cables $500  from router. End point most critical for $1k several good ones for Jcat is a step above , Shunyata are very good  for usb but expensive , I have the $1500 audience front row which is very respectable.

Interesting timeframe on this post. When it was new, back in 2020, I was using whatever throwaway generic ethernet cable. I felt quite certain there was nothing to be gained from an upgrade there.

Now it's 2026, I've owned or demo'd many different ethernet cables from Shunyata, Curious Cables, Gobel Audio, Audioquest, Sablon Audio, DH Labs, and a bunch more I am forgetting. A lot of these were really great and most of them were clear improvements over my old basic freebie cable.

My latest and greatest is the Tiglon TPL-3000L White Tiger which is not the most expensive one I've tried, but definitely the most enjoyable.

As @audioman58 wrote above, the switch and power supplies (and everything else) also matters.

@996turbo911 I am currently fretting over Ethernet cables, looking at the Tiglon USA site I do not see an Ethernet cable for sale. Where did you source yours?

@zlone It looks like they are still building the Tiglon USA website. Last month it was just a static page with a Contact box, now it actually has different sections, some products listed, and a checkout system. It clearly isn't finished yet though.

If you check Audiogon (not the forum part but the actual listings) they have a lot more items showing. Including the White Tiger and 2000L Pro network cables. Looks like there is an entry level Azure Dragon network cable too. I haven't heard that one, the other two are exceptional.

During my interactions I've been very satisfied with the service I've received. Top notch brand to deal with.
