No I haven’t, Do you like the amp, I’m looking at a low cost class d ? I’m curious, if the Purefi is balanced only how would you integrate the single ended Schiit buffer ? Regards , Mike B.

While it's cheap, the problem is cables - two RCA in and two RCA out. That could get expensive. Not to mention the fact that you will want to replace the tube that comes with the unit. One is likely to spend at least a few hundred dollars to get up and running on a $99 unit. But if you feel your system needs some warmth and additional gain, then it may be worth a try. I just feel like the unit is a gadget and not a true audiophile product. |
I was interested in this Schiit device for similar reasons - potentially adding some welcome warmth to a slightly clinical but otherwise really enjoyable setup. But I came to the same conclusion as @goodlistening64 as far as cable complexity and tube upgrades. So I never went through with it. Could still be worth a try in the right setup though. |
