I recommend auditioning each cable in your system, bearing in mind that most power cords will not reveal their true potential unless they've been broken in for at least 200-500 hours.
Power Cable Suggestions.
I am looking for a new power cable. I am looking into spending anywhere from $300-$500. I am torn between a Furutech Astoria Plus, DH Labs Power plus/cryo and last but hopefully not least, CullenCable Cross Series II. I just learned about CullenCables today and they look very nice. This cable will be used to power up a Naim SN3 or REL T7i. There is Morrow Audio which currently has a 25% off on all their power cables. I need a power cable asap. Any help will be very appreaciated.

Let's face it, their main problem is they can't even afford power cables. It is an unfortunate situation, but they brought it upon themselves. They made a lifetime of bad choices that left them with systemic impecuniousness, class envy and populist anger. They are best left ignored; do not engage them lest they lash out.

Cables that make difference in my system: Analog IC (rca / xlr), Speaker cable, Hdmi as I2s, Optical, 75 ohm rca cable, Cat 8 ethernet cable (vs Cat 6) Cables that do NOT make difference in my system: USB, Power. *Benchmark Media Systems makes and sells $9 USB A-to-B cables for their gear. Although I do use the DH Labs Mirage USB cable ($280), I could not hear a difference between it and the factory USB cables from Schiit Audio. I use well-shielded, 10–14 gauge, high-quality copper, beefy yet very affordable ($40–$90) power cables. The quality of the power supply (LPS) and the power conditioner/outlet make a much more meaningful difference than power cables themselves. I congratulate myself for saving money on power cables and putting it toward things that actually make a difference.

@jasonbourne71 Knows what's up.
Power cables make no objective difference in the sound of a stereo but they sure do make a lot of money for the companies that sell them. A lot. |
