What blues are you listening to today?

Blues is by far my favorite and most listened to genre. I don't know how many of us are in here, but I thought a continuing thread of this kind might be of interest.

I'm listening to Buddy Guy's Sweet Tea. Buddy's covers of Junior Kimbrough,      T-Model Ford, CeDell Davis and the like are awesome. Jimbo Mathus sitting in on rhythm guitar doesn't hurt!

So what blues are on your system today?

Didn’t see Little Milton or Curtis Salgado. I didn’t see Robben Ford either…

I still enjoy Taj Mahal’s early recordings with Jesse Ed Davis on guitar and the somewhat later, live "The Real Thing".

Ronnie Earl is one of my very favorite players. Such beautiful phrasing coupled with intense emotion. Check out Blues Virtuoso Live in Europe and the YouTube videos from that tour.

A taste of the latter;

He starts out quite laid back. The fireworks start around the 10 minute mark.

Nice list.

I went to the SF Blues Festival many years ago and saw Little Charlie &The Nightcats, Robert Cray, Mark Naftalin and John Lee Hooker among others including Boz Scaggs. Saw John Lee and Junior Wells at Monterey Blues Fest on another trip out West.
