Bricasti M1 Upgrade to MDx

Has anyone done this upgrade, but not done the rest immediately (Series II PSU / chassis or SE)? If so, how did it change the sound for you?

I had updated to the mdx board in 2020. The update was easy- sent my unit in, and within a week, got it back. New chassis, and now my previously exterior remote control receiver is integrated into the M1.

I had both MDX and S2 upgrade at the same time, so not what the op wants. I will say it was a big move up in sound, and I would recommend doing both.
