What blues are you listening to today?

Blues is by far my favorite and most listened to genre. I don't know how many of us are in here, but I thought a continuing thread of this kind might be of interest.

I'm listening to Buddy Guy's Sweet Tea. Buddy's covers of Junior Kimbrough,      T-Model Ford, CeDell Davis and the like are awesome. Jimbo Mathus sitting in on rhythm guitar doesn't hurt!

So what blues are on your system today?

@ezwind I have a friend who is active with MusicMaker. Making a contribution has been in the back of my mind for a bit; I need to do so. Good of you to mention them.

@imintohifi +1 on Serve You Right To Suffer. Listened to that this morning. Always interesting to me to hear how the song was changed in two ways (one minor, one not so much) as time went on. Worth looking up....

@alvinnir2 Great list.  Loved seeing Matt Schofield live a couple of years ago. I’d add Corey Harris to your list.

This afternoon, I’m listening to Bill Abel out of Clarksdale. I highly recommend him to you all - particularly his album Waiting at the Station, although all his albums are superb. His singing is reminiscent of JJ Cale and Mark Knopfler.

@stuartk...yes

Also add:

Bonnie Raitt

Etta James

Plus lots more!  Tons of talent in this genre...

+1 Blues -- by Jimi Hendrix

Yes, I bought this album, somehow not seeing Jimi Hendrix's name on it. Holy cow. What a wonderful album... then I realized his roots.
