Solid steel 2 shelf rack question.

I also have a CODA amp, and I am also looking at a Solid Steel rack. I would like to get the cheapest one but then I would need to get 3 levels of selves. If I get the more expensive one that has about 6-inch clearance from the floor to the base shelf I only need 2 shelves. The more expensive 2-shelf one is supposed to have better isolation and less shelves also means less reflections.

However, I really do not care about the better isolation. I currently have 5 of these Sesmicpods under my CODA #11 amp and the amp seems like it is floating on air. When I get a new rack, the pods will go on the bottom shelf and the amp on top of them

@fthompson251  I have a 85 lb Line Magnetic 518IA integrated amp on the 2 shelf SS3 with Neodio B2 isolation devices under it and the resulting music sounds just fine. I have the Auva EQs under some other components so I know their impact . Admittedly  I have no experience with the aforementioned higher end model , but based upon my experience with the SS3 and comparable equipment to yours I think you'll be fine with the SS3. 

Just to pile on, I use the Solid Steel HW-3L and love it.  I have a CODA Continuum No. 8 on order, and it should be here in early June.  To make room, as I am moving from an integrated amp to a separate preamp, I have an S3 Series Amp Stand on the way.  By the way, big shout out to Vinyl Sound USA in West Seneca, NY, was great to work with on the racks.  No shipping charges.

@facten  Thank you for that information. The amp stand I have now isn’t very expensive and most likely the SS3 series is a step up.
