What blues are you listening to today?

Blues is by far my favorite and most listened to genre. I don't know how many of us are in here, but I thought a continuing thread of this kind might be of interest.

I'm listening to Buddy Guy's Sweet Tea. Buddy's covers of Junior Kimbrough,      T-Model Ford, CeDell Davis and the like are awesome. Jimbo Mathus sitting in on rhythm guitar doesn't hurt!

So what blues are on your system today?

The blues are a deep well of interesting and fun listening.

“Back Door Man” by The Doors just a bit ago.

Hey, I didn’t write it! 🙈

Hard to deny B.B. King as a great blues artist, listen to him often when in a blues mood.  Also enjoy 'light' blues by Bonnie Raitt.  Got to see her last year at a small venue, what a great show, and she had some great backup blues artists in her band.  I'd also put Janis Joplin in that category.  One of my fav's , Stevie Ray Vaughn.

I just got " Blues By Lonnie Johnson." He was foundational to the blues, and even played a fair share of jazz- with Duke Ellington, no less. He has this wonderful single-note style of playing that I think is great.
