What's the best audiophile headphones for under $300 (used)?

There have been some incredible headphones launched a few years ago that still deliver amazing quality for the price and the great thing is that these can now be found for under $300 when they originally cost more than double when they launched.

Now the question is which are the best audiophile headphones that can be found second-hand under $300. What are the best price/performance models?

Here is a selection of some of the best within that price range:

Do you own any of these, and would you add any additional ones?

@limomangus - if you don't like headphones, why are you posting on the 'Headphones' category?

I’ll start by saying I would never buy used headphones.  So shoot me. There’s a thread about that somewhere on A-gon.

At any rate, I own and very much like my HIFIMAN Sundaras. But if I were in the market right now, I’d jump on the HIFIMAN Edition XS. A friend sent links to a couple of reviews recently. One review is older, but relevant. Why? New HIFIMAN Edition XS for $209 on Amazon - less that what I paid for my Sundaras. Edition XS were formerly $500.

Do a search on these reviews: 1) Joshua Valour & the HIFIMAN Edition XS, and 2) The Audiophillac (Steve Guttenberg) reviews the Edition XS.

@lionel_hersch , add a Schiit Vali 3 headphone amp (I had one previously) and you’ve got a complete headphone system for under $400. What’s not to like about that?! Hope this helps.

Happy Listening!
