Clean polished chrome on my Vintage McIntosh MC275

I tried to clean the chrome surface of my amp with windex. I sprayed it on the microfiber cloth and wiped it gently. However, the prints on the surface still removed  after cleaning. Any suggestions on how to protect the pints on the chrome and keep the metal shinny?

I use cleaning wipes on my vintage audio equipment.

Sprayway ammonia free glass cleaner. Spray some on a fresh microfiber towel and not directly on the amp. Works perfect on my MC 240.
