Good comments here almost all of them.I saw The Beatles in Las Vegas on my 18th birthday I believe it was at Cesars Palace 08/21/64 the girls were screaming so loud it was hard to hear sometimes , many passed out , some could not be revived , saw several carried out on stretchers. I guess for me it’s the entire second side of Abby Road and a tie with A Day In The Life. You know how they say I wanna go back and do it over and get it right this time? I think we pretty much got it right the first time but still want to go back and do it again even if it’s just for one trip.

@tomcarr , Thanks to you starting this thread, it got me interested in learning the stories behind the songs. Fascinating stuff! Example: John wrote Dear Prudence while they were over at that retreat in India during their transcendental phase. Mia Farrow and her younger sister Prudence were there at the same time. Prudence got so deep into trying to attain transcendence, she wouldn't leave her hut for really long stretches at a time. This worried everyone and they were constantly banging on her door to see if she was ok. So the whole song and 'Won't you come out to play' evolved from that. |
