So…Much…Music!

I added my first streamer to my system about 8 months ago. This is not about the unit I bought. But rather the discovery of a world of new to me music. There is soooooo much that I had never heard!
My CD collection is just over 2,000 titles. Yes there are many dogs in there. But it mostly titles I like. But when I got the streamer, oh boy. So much more to discover!
I still listen to CD’s every day. In fact I bought a new player a couple months ago. But I am so happy with all the new to me music I’m finding via streaming. Love it!!
Anyway, thanks for listening to me.

...and another good example..

Ever read a review of some piece of audio equipment or speakers and the reviewer goes on and on, waxing poetic about how the equipment turned some often shrill vocalist(on lesser systems/equipment) into sublimly beautiful music?  Of course the track they're discussing is by some obscure artist or recording.. And you have to wonder..how would my system perform with such a track?

Or the reviewer gushes and gurgles on and on with the beauty of some challenging track and the trial system bringing out more detail, lushness, and musicality than has ever been heard before by so flawed a human being!  And you lament..geez,.I wish I could hear that music!

Well folks..not only can you live in that lime-light too, you can do it for FREE!..just spin up your Ronco Streamer and play that music for all it's worth..twice, if you have a mind to, raise your hands and yell Halleluiah!, for I am livin-large!

I stream, therefore I am!

Streaming is a wonderful option, opening up a plethora of music and artists.  I have used Spotify and Tidal, and was impressed with the suggested new music to listen to based on my favorites.  This is a great way to discover new music and artists you would not normally find.

My vinyl collection is going to my son, as I no longer have interest in maintaining it.  I have a vast CD collection and still buy new CD's every month.  They immediately get ripped to a NAS for easy listening selection.  Streaming has been a great source for new and previously unfounded music.

I recently dropped Tidal as I didn't think I needed two services.  I had been using it for it's superior quality to Spotify, but since they went to optional lossless format I am using it exclusively.

I miss hanging around record stores but streaming is awesome otherwise.

I too have a comparable CD - and LP! - collection. I have yet to buy a streamer because I have so much music on hand that I have little desire to search for more online.

From someone who’s obviously completely missed the boat/message here. 🙄
