Wanted to give a shout out to McIntosh tech support. I was having trouble trying to get my t.v to audio thru my McIntosh MA 7900 integrated amp using a toslink optical cable. The Mac tech guy was extremely helpful spent about half an hour on the phone with me helping me re-assign a mode to operate the t.v. sound off of the CD2 format and it worked. Also found out how to do a factory reset on my amp. I got right through on the phone both times I called. I give them a 10 on the scale.

My experience was excellent. I called, pre-arranged checking a C-22 preamp and MA-2250 amp I intended to sell. Dropped it off thursday after lunch, spent the weekend with my friend in Vestal, picked them up late Monday. They had said "if nothing seriously wrong, we will have them ready for you" My boxes were old, dirty, they tossed them out. I said, Dirty or not, I need those boxes to help sell and ship them. They made me new double boxes then and there. A UPS truck came while I was there, it was unsettling to see how roughly the UPS dude handled them right in front of the McIntosh staff. I said something, he responded, that’s why we made good double boxes, had no concern. |
