Buying a Luxman L505z from Japan

Hey, so I’m looking to purchase a Luxman L505z from Japan - I will need a 120-100v step down transformer . I wanted to find out if anyone has experience with this and if it will compromise the sound in anyway? I saw one from a dealer on eBay with a 99% rating, but I’m unsure if I should trust it. Any insights would be greatly appreciated

Best advice???? Get the US version.  So many scams, no support in or out of warranty...  Then risk shipping presumably to N America???   I would pass

+1 @oddiofyl !  too significant of a purchase...and why would you want a step up or down transformer when you can get 120v

If the seller is legit, do not worry about the voltage,

I have a JVC TT81 TT, 100v, and use a decent but inexpensive step-down transformer (as do many people, for many audio equipment items). I've used it since 2019.

Size larger than your unit’s power needs (consider a larger future load)

Power consumption 330W
90W (under no signal), 0.5W (at standby)

they have one for 500 watts, this one is 1600 watts
