@dwmb both are very close with Diamond being slightly more spotlit in treble and Audience slightly warmer. That was in my system with Bricasti M3 DAC fed by N200. I preferred audience as it struck better balance with slightly more palpable mids. But again, super close.
If buying used be careful with AQ there are fakes out there circulating on a used market.
USB cable recommendation
I have an Aurender N150 and a Garlubidor Divinity DAC. I'm trying to figure out if my Transparent USB cable is limiting my hardware. I asked AI to make a suggestion, and they recommended a Shunyata Theta, Audioquest Diamond and Audioquest Carbon. Now I guess I'm looking for a human's suggestion.

@audphile1 Thank you very much. I greatly appreciate it. This helps me. I will be buying new. |
I owned and loved the Audience Frontrow USB, but didn't care for the Studio One as much in my system. Two recent finds that I enjoy more than the Frontrow are the Veritas Audax and the Tiglon TPL2000U. The Veritas seems popular, I learned about it from someone around here and it is a great value at $450. Tiglon is a brand that is new to me but I am really loving what I hear. Started with their Ethernet cable and enjoyed it enough to buy the USB. At $800 it is more expensive than the Veritas but arguably better in some ways. But I use them in different systems and I haven't compared directly. |
@996turbo911 I tried FrontRow and didn’t like it. I was getting listener fatigue within minutes with that cable and had the same experience with latest shunyata alpha x. Settled on studio one. This depends very much on synergy between components. Both the FrontRow and Shunyata had a very hifi sound quality. Stufio One was much more natural sounding to me. I use FrontRow speaker cables and absolutely love them. Go figure… And I also use Audience Ethernet cable which is top notch both in build and sonics. Don’t miss USB and my streamer at all after I switched to Meitner with its network card as renderer/end point. |
