Upgrade from B&W 802D1 to Focal Utopia Scala Evo

If you had the chance to upgrade from  the B&W 802D1 to the  FOCAL UTOPIA SCALA EVO, which would you choose and why?

What don't you like about these speakers?

How long have you had them and how many hours listened? I would give them a chance you have nothing to lose. Of course it's gonna be a different sound.

Maybe breaking in would help? Maybe a therapist?

Whatever the reason, these Focal Scala Evo speakers don't like my electronics, my room, or my taste in music, I am not ready for this journey.

I am serious, if anyone would like to purchase these from me, less than 1-week old, contact me. I will try to find another pair of B&W 802D (1st gen diamond) speakers.

Can I ask what electronics did your dealer use when you heard them? Maybe there’s another issue to consider here?

Maybe you talked about it somewhere else herein. That’s an important issue to consider. Aside from the change in the room location which also is important.

I saw that electronic you're using are from PS audio.

I'm using Mark Levinson SACD 5101 player, BHK preamplifier, and BHK 300 monoblocks.

When auditioned them, they used Aurender streamer with an auxiliary power supply and a stand-alone DAC. They all used Pass Lab preamplifier and Pass Lab monoblocks of some sort.

The room was also larger than mine.

Wait. Are these brand new speakers ? If so you will need several months for proper break in! My Rockports sounded terrible too in the beginning. Four months later amazing!! Patience grasshopper. We also have Kanta 3s in our home theatre and they sound great too
