Speaker ideas for KR Audio Antares that aren't Klipsch or Horns...?

So I've always been a SET + Klipsch guy, been through most of the Heritage line.  Currently I'm running Chorus I's (recapped, titanium tweeters).  I recently scored a great deal on a used KRAudio Antares amp with their 842 triode tubes and it's blowing me away.  Love the amp and my system sounds better than ever (so much bass!).  However, a good friend has some nice Paradigm speakers in his system and I really enjoy the more laid back sound of non-horns and I'm beginning to think maybe I'm ready to try a more modern speaker.  I know I like the Paradigms, but there are so many speakers out there, it's a bit intimidating when all I've ever known is Klispch.  I'm planning on going to some high end audio stores and do lots of listening, but I'm just curious what people have used successfully with SET amps in the 20w range?  Obviously I still need an efficient speaker (I'm thinking above 90?).  I'm hoping to find something used around $5k, so probably the best, most efficient speaker under $10k?  Just looking for brands and models I should have on the radar when I go listening and browsing the used ads.  Thanks in Advance!

excellent, thank you, those are brands I've heard of but haven't auditioned or researched yet.  On my radar now!

excellent, thanks again for the info!  i've been studying these brands and learning a lot.  looking forward to hearing some of these!

I’m running QLN Prestige One (monitors) right now in a small room with 5w of single ended tube power.  Volume levels in the high 60’s to low 70’s. They are wonderfully smooth, laid back and very musical speakers.  Very nice low end too.  The QLN monitors and small floor models are 88db but VERY easy to drive.  20w of power is plenty with these speakers unless you’re a head banger in a large room.  The challenge would be finding some used models in your price range but well worth the effort to look.
