The outlook of a true lunatic. Two are against the law, and one is not. You don't get to decide what is undue harm. That is why we have laws. You don't get to decide what is fair and what is foul. Responsible people follow the laws. Following the laws is acting responsibly. Going above and beyond is on you and you alone. What you decide is fair and foul is not a requirement for anyone else to follow.
Earth Day, turn those amps OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Earth Day, turn those amps OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've said it before, I'll say it again, it is Environmentally IRRESPONSIBLE to leave your equipment on for long periods of time, before or after, or truly despicable, ON all the time!
On, 20 mins, listen, done, off!
Doctors, Lawyers, Trust Fund Kiddos, come on now.
Where were you in 1970?, I was there in Manhattan (went to college at Pratt in Brooklyn 1966-1970)

I don't but the dying and burning planet does. you are just clueless if you think laws in this country protect the environment, the planet, the future, etc. They actively support destroying them. Earth Day is about reminding you to act responsibly. But of course, all you care about is your "freedom" to live 10 times better than the rest of world and have a carbon footprint 10 times bigger than the rest of the world. Calling a responsible person a lunatic is as dumb and backwards as it gets. |
@parkergetdean @others….You’re right, they think they are right, vice versa too and positions harden and nobody convinces any one of anything. Ah, that’s the facless internet where everyone has an opinion be it informed or not. When conversations here turn to flames they get removed. So folks pkease lets not flame another thread out. I’m as guilty as some for meandering (tis me) but sometimes we glean something interesting about another and that’s a bit of joy too. Yes the real world is out there but these fora are just a bit of a respite. |
@parkergetdean Whatever point you are trying to make, or virtue you are signaling, It is all meaningless. Using less electricity on amplifiers changes absolutely nothing. Being a good person blah blah blah, also changes very little. There are 2 dire problems the world is facing: 1) Depleting drinking water. 2) 8 billion people on the planet. 8 billion is a lot of billions. Each human being contribute a ton of waste and pollution to the environment while using up limited resources and land. Using electricity "responsibly" is such a laughable attempt in the grand scheme of things. |
