I am an unrepentant leaver on if at all possible person. Class D amps, on 24/7 when we are in residence. Tube things are only on when in use, which when we are here in FL is about 6-8 hours/day. Why does this not bother me? Well, our total consumption of KW hours is less than half any of our neighbors who live in very similar homes. How can that be so? We invested in the highest efficiency HVAC system on the market, we invested in solar, we keep our thermostat set at a conservative 78 degrees F (remember this is AC country in South Florida) against the more typical 72 degrees. Also, leaving the Class D amps on is better for them. So, you need to take a wholistic view of issues like this rather than settle on stereotypical assumptions formed decades ago.
Earth Day, turn those amps OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Earth Day, turn those amps OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've said it before, I'll say it again, it is Environmentally IRRESPONSIBLE to leave your equipment on for long periods of time, before or after, or truly despicable, ON all the time!
On, 20 mins, listen, done, off!
Doctors, Lawyers, Trust Fund Kiddos, come on now.
Where were you in 1970?, I was there in Manhattan (went to college at Pratt in Brooklyn 1966-1970)

@lewm No. Although the timeline just about dovetails. Sad Story. "Fell in love with a teacher." A lot of that back then. That's her on "Lebanese Blonde". Never knew. |
