RIP Dave Mason

@zx10 - Great opportunity to compare Mason's and Winwood's guitar stylings on Dear Mr. Fantasy, from Welcome to the Canteen. Both are playing Stratocasters. Mason is a technically powerful guitar player with more rhythmic emphasis in his solos. His arpeggio frills back-up Winwood's kinda pedestrian guitar solos.

Know it is obvious but We Just Disagree is a fantastic recording and gives great advise for this forum. RIP Dave

"Alone Together" was a brilliant album, and one of the earliest rock albums that came in colored vinyl; I don't remember the exact colors, but it was a swirly kind of design. RIP Dave... 

Sad. Dave was awesome & saw him many many times since 1974 at Radio City in NYC. He said he never really felt comfortable playing live even though imo, he was a much better guitar player & singer than I think many & maybe Dave himself realized.
