Please Recommend Cable Between Innuos Zen Mk 3 and Merason Frerot DAC

I have just upgraded my music streamer and I'm looking for a quality cable to connect the Innuos Zen Mk 3 to my Merason Frerot DAC.  Am I looking for a USB A -> USB B cable or something different ?

Would something in the $200 - $400 range be sufficient quality ?   Here is my system:

Van Alstine SET 400 Amp

Van Alstine T-10 RB Tube Preamp

Merason Frerot DAC

Salk HT2-TL Speakers

I see Upscale Audio has a one meter long USB A to USB B  cable  it's called "Mirage" made by DH Labs for $260 .

Thoughts and recommendations are appreciated.

I like your idea of the "Mirage" made by DH Labs for $260.  That's the one I went with and notice an improvement over a basic cable and a $100 audio cable by another brand.

If you can find a used Shunyata Theta or Alpha, I noticed a big improvement over the stock cable and the wire world starlight platinum cable.  A used theta for $400 would be a steal.  I ultimately went with the alpha but it was close

i have an Innuos  Zenith 3  running through an Innuos usb Phoenix currently connected to a Ayre DAC and before that to a Yiggy. I have tried over a half dozen usb cables including the Wireworld Platinum, The Supra, an Intona Reference,  Curious Evolved, and an Audioquest Diamond, among others and nothing sounded as good as the Sablon cable I have in plac now. I own both the 2020 and the Panatela Reserva and either will do and can be found on the used market for your desired price. I’ve read that the EVO model sounds even better but any Sablon usb cable will do and sounds to these ears as if they were made to compliment the Innuos greatest strengths which i take to be its analogue warmth, musicality and expansive soundstage. Best luck in your search.

I am using a DH Labs Mirage USB-A to USB-C cable to connect my Innuos Stream 1 with Phoenix USB module to my DAC; it was an upgrade from another reputable, not generic, cable.  The Mirage cable is definitely an upgrade over my other cable, yielding better definition and tonality, not by a wide margin, but noticeably.  I can recommend it.  I am also using DH Labs Reunion Cat 8 Ethernet cable to connect my router extension to the Stream 1, and it was a marked upgrade over a quality generic cable.  If you give them your email address, DH Labs currently offers a 10 percent discount on your order.  Other than being a very satisfied customer, I have no relationship with DH Labs.

There's a better way to do this. Give The Cable Company a call. Pick 4 or 5 cables that you want to hear and they'll send you a box full of demos. You get 2 weeks with them, and if you don't find anything you like, just send them back.

If you use Cable Company once, you won't buy cables any other way. Also, they keep detailed records. Every time they lend cables out for demo, they ask you to give your thoughts on all of them. The information goes into their data base. When you contact them, they can tell you what cables customers with your equipment ended up buying. Its a very helpful system.
