Next the conversation went to on about the much cheaper RME DAC sounding the same as the imersiv D-1.

Lol, the RME ADI-2 DAC broke a record here for how fast this cycle went:
Bought it > unboxed > listened > HATED IT > re-boxed > sold it

I hate the RME DAC with every cell in my body, and I could not even be paid to listen to it. 

When I read the comments on ASR, I start thinking that there is a bit of indoctrination into a measurement cult going on.

To each his own and I think each group is happy in their own way.

@yyzsantabarbara ASR is a funny bunch, they’re all about the data, the measurements, the objectiveness. 

But whenever a new product comes out, they eagerly wait for user subjective experience. Hello? What are they expecting.

Another laughable aspect is, in their world, all the products have exceeded the hearing threshold, every measurements have entered the inaudible zone. All the Topping products for example. What’s the point of a new Topping DAC, a more expensive one, that also exceeds the audible zone. Hello? Are they expecting something new?

Amir ? Well, he is weird, bordering on Psychotic and too easily accuses one of spamming then bans you no apeal which is  really OK as then you can just ignore him 
but he has occasional points . 
any objective view and reading watching YT videos shows us that yes there are mentally ill cable cult devotees and real scientific honest guys like Audioholics ( over 40 years ! ) shows us cables make little if any difference when coathangers do better than 10K$ AQ cables it is hard to argue w/ reality ! yet some do ! YOU do ! it's DOO DOO ! 
when i explain the cable thing to non audiophiles they easily see yep cable guys are nuts  i think you ARE  mostly just nuts and have $ to waste !
see it all time in exotic car world but Ferrari owners are more rooted in reality as they actually DRIVE cars ! 
w/ cables wasting $ on silly cables there is NO proof work better will not kill you if it could you guys would be MUCH more carefull ( and honest ) w/ cars if you compare one to another or aftermarket parts yes you can tell usu if one is better facts do not lie opinions do opinions matter in cable as fools like to spend $ and they convince themselves and others w/ out ANY proof one is better you have magic ears feel blessed 
you refuse to do blind ABCD testing, someone else  is doing switching shows us you are crazy and lazy do not want truth .

we enjoy ( occasionaly ) reading seeing subjective fools rant on ! 
it's like we usu watch fox as they ( Much more often ) tell truth and we can watch legacy channels LIE or ignore truth  to have a laugh  we miss Walter Cronkite

@ned1000 I lost a few precious IQ pts reading through your segment. But I read it, and it is unfortunate.

However, you have also admitted yourself that the Coat-hanger sounds better than $10k AQ cables. 

The entire premise of ASR, measurement cults, and Amir have always been, cables measure the same, they sound the same. 2 very important points. 

Now we have you and Amir admitting that 2 cables sound different if the cheaper is superior. The cheaper part is not important, what’s important is that 1 cable sounds superior than the other. I think there’s nothing left to discuss.
