Pass Labs Amps - Does the heat bother you?

Power use and heat are not necessarily directly related.  Although Pass Labs amps are designed to run class A higher into the power range than most so run warmer.  Their 100% class A units run really hot.  And, you are no doubt correct about that as you owned a 130 lb. heat sink.  You may not have noticed the heat generated by the screen out of the top and back of your TV.

X350.8 consumes 600w at idle. The amp will run hot. 
But…you buy an amp or a preamp for sound quality. If you’re worried about heat, may be install an air conditioner first. If you prioritize sound quality over a little bit of extra heat, you’ll find a way to cool your ass off.

I’m actually questioning the whole thing here. Whatever amp you get, these focal sopra 1s will never sound good playing the music you’re listening to the most. Throw some blankets over them and add a sub. 

I have a pair of X600 monoblocks in a moderate size room, and they do heat up the room if left on all day, something I don't do.

I turn them on about an hour before a listening session so they get adequate warm up time, and of course turn them off after the session.

I have never felt uncomfortably warm during a listening session.

If it ever becomes an issue, I would run a room AC ahead of time and turn it off while listening.

My pass 250 integrated get warm in my small listening room. I have 8 amps to work with, so Pass in winter and use my other amps when it warm. I recently purchases my first class D monoblocks, and at 300 watts each, they barely get warm. So maybe a second amp for milder weather?
