Need help finding demo songs

Hi all!

I've been watching some interesting sound systems on YouTube, and they always play some kind of demo songs that show off the systems, but they never mention anything about what they're using to show off there systems.  I'd like to find some of this music, but not being a listener of current rock music, or demo cds, are there any cds that you guys can recommend that will show off my system?

Just throwing it out there:

Aja, Gaucho - Steely Dan

Kind of Blue - Miles Davis

Diana Krall - live in Paris

Brothers in Arms/Love over Gold - Dire Straights

Nothing like the Sun - Sting

Ella and Louis

Jazz at the Pawnshop

those are some of the old standbys - there’s a ton more

Here is my take for a massive awesome collection at your fingertips

  • open Qobuz and search for the term ‘audiophile’ or ‘demo’
  • under results, look for playlists
  • You will find a treasure trove!

Happy Listening 🤩

Every time I make a change in my system I use Zappa's Apostrophe.  It has a wide range of styles and range of tone.

@sid42 nor sure what you mean by current rock music so I’ll include what I think sounds great.

Dire Straits - On Every Street

Eric Clapton - Slowhand

Nils Lofgren - Acoustic Live

Dave Brubeck - Time Out

Steely Dan - Everything Must Go; Two Against Nature

I put together 10-30 sec parts of songs I really enjoy into 1 mp3 file. I picked these passages because each highlight something I'm looking for in a system. The clicking sound in Elton John's Love Song, the synth grit on Kate Bush's Hounds of Love, bass extension on Billie Eilish's When the Party's Over...etc.
