聖HIJIRI Users thread

I’ve been meaning to put pictures of my rig up for along time here on audiogon and never got around to doing it, but I think you’ve given me just the right push to do so. However it’s gonna take me a minute to get it done. 

I don’t have any silver based power cords but I do have Revelation Audio CryoSilver™ Reference HDMI/I2s cable, Revelation Audio CryoSilver™ Reference phono cable and probably will get Revelation Audio CryoSilver™ Reference USB cable after carefully considering some others (thank you @lalitk).

I do like the consistent quality of build, fair cost to performance ratio, overall sound quality they deliver and they work quite well synergistically with the slightly (warm) softened transient attack of HIJIRI cable. Brad at Revelation Audio does sell power cords in fact,  I can’t think of a cable type he doesn’t sell.

That being said, on my LTA Microzotl MZ3 I have a HIJIRI Nagomi power cord and the synergy response was immediate, with all the HIJIRI up tuning even without burn in and that power cord has not left my MZ3. However when I put it on my Clayton Audio S-100 amplifier the sound was very bloated so much so to the point I felt I had to hurry up and disconnect or the sound would damage my rig. 

There is one caveat when dealing with Brad, he can be very tardy in sending you his products and to some it’s a no go, a non starter when choosing a seller. But his products to - me are simply outstanding and he’s gotten much better with me at least on timely shipping. You may want to visit some of his power cord and other reviews of Revelation Audio Labs cables. He sells direct and has an ebay page with his items also.

I am not going into super detail as I already mentioned the key differences in this thread. Nagomi works well as an entry point, an effective power cord for mid-tier systems but it clearly sits at the lower end of the Hijiri lineup. As you move up to models like the SM2R-L and TAKUMI, you begin to appreciate meaningful gains in scale: stronger dynamics, richer tonal saturation, greater smoothness, and a more natural sense of musical flow.

Since you already have “Million” series IC and Speaker cables, it makes sense to skip Nagomi.

If I may offer a suggestion based on photo 28 of your virtual system: go with a TAKUMI for your Ayre, and a pair of SM2R-L cables for your Accuphase and Luxman players. That should complete your setup nicely.

……I have listened to these cables, in my opinion they are far east junk . No soul too  for my tastes . I would compare them to Hemingway Cables . It took about five minutes with them as well in my system to say …..Junk.
