buying vinyl from abroad

I am trying to buy an album from Europe via ebay. It comes with a warning sign before checkout:

Due to US customs policies, the buyer of this item will need to pay import fees to the shipping carrier prior to delivery.

Has anyone been through this, what is the process? Does customs sit on the merchandise for days, weeks? I know other countries tend to charge ridiculous amounts and hold the item hostage for months potentially.

"From Australia’s viewpoint, almost all of you are abroad!"

What exactly are the gender laws there?

What exactly are the gender laws there?

Mate, we are a free country!

The Australian Bureau of Statistics listed 24 definitions of gender, the last time I looked.

Our outstanding Foreign Minister is a gay broad of Asian (Malaysian Chinese) heritage.  The Chief Minister of the ACT is also in a gay marriage.  More and more footballers are coming out.  It is nearly compulsory. Sheep are looking more relaxed ...

Wombats prove that square pegs can come out of round holes!

So I had to look up what the ABS says, and it seems I confused sex (due to biology) and gender (social view: man, woman, non-binary).  In surveys, the ABS asks four questions!  Both sex and gender offer a spectrum, and in Australia it is unlawful to discriminate on either sex or gender grounds.

Reminds me of a conversation between an airline hostess and a fatigued passenger, as she helped him fill out his Landing Card.  "Sex?" she asked.

"Infrequently" he replied.

"Is that one word or two?"
