@jafant Thanks, I figured that would be the recommendation.
聖HIJIRI Users thread
Based on a discussion with another forum member, I've been reading up on this Comback Corporation brand. The reviews I've found have been pretty positive, but I've also learned over the years to take all reviews with a grain of salt. So the purpose of this thread is for users to share their input on 聖HIJIRI cables. When you share, if you'd discuss what model of HIJIRI you demoed and what brands/models they were compared to, that'd be very helpful.
A little background: a few years ago I was reading the Audio Envy threads and decided to give them a try as the seemed to compete with much higher-priced cable. So I decided to give AE a try. I found both the $179 P2 and the $279 M3 to easily best an Isotek power cord at $1k. So that got me thinking even more about value products. I was about to give Zavfino a try and then was given another recommendation to give HIJIRI a try. So this is how I got here. I'll be very interested to hear all user comments on HIJIRI and this should be a good repository for the brand.

Looking at your system, I’d start by experimenting with HIJIRI speaker cables first, then move to interconnects. With KIM speakers and Audionet electronics, your setup is already exceptionally open, neutral, and highly resolving with strong imaging. Be mindful not to overdo it, too much HIJIRI in the chain can slightly soften transient attack. That said, introducing a HIJIRI speaker cable can bring a welcome sense of body, tonal saturation and emotional density to your system. |
@jafant @lalitk Thanks for the comments and the warning about going too deep on Hijiri too fast. My most recent change was a move from Acoustic Zen Hologram speaker cables to Audience AU24 SX, and these are currently breaking in, no comments so far. I have a few sets of interconnects laying around, Acoustic Zen, Veritas and Neotech, and each adds a different flavor to the system. Same for power cords, something I have never experienced to a significant degree before these speakers. Any change will likely be slow as I take time to develop my opinions on changes. Prices on cables will also help me keep a lid on things.

“Acoustic Zen Hologram vs Audience AU24 SX” Flavor vs Truth….both cables are fine conveyers. When you have a fine system such as yours, choosing cabling pretty much about fine tuning your system. I’ve been through my share of cables in last 25 years…none has been satisfying as HIJIRI’S. They turned out to be end game cables in the context of my system. The synergy between HIJIRI ➡️ Accuphase ➡️ Tannoy Canterbury’s is simply exquisite. I hear you on taking slow and pricing….my current system is the culmination of 3 plus years of tweaking 😊
