Be careful with the Viborg bananas; they can bend and get loose easily with heavier cables like Mogami 3104(9awg) that I use. Right now I'm using expensive WBT 0610 locking binding posts. I have some very similar looking (Preffair?) from Amazon, but have not tried them yet. But side to side with the WBT's, they're not the same, particularly how the locking mechanism works and the screws to attach the cable seem less robust. Every WBT connector I've tried can be used over and over again, unlike most inexpensive Asian alternatives that I have tried, but like the age-old adage: you get what you pay for. Still looking for some BFA's because they look, on paper at least, the best type of speaker connector.

Those are the same BFA-Type low mass plugs I use. They are very inexpensive and work exceptionally well. I like that they are mechanically self-tightening due to the sprung brass construction and they do not depend on tightening the binding post to keep them locked in. |
